Getting Read for Pigeon Forge

So I enlisted coverage on the script from Jacklyn Whitt. Thanks for the extra work Jacklyn! I thought I was done. With her excellent insights, I have cut about 20 pages and the story is the better for it. So hard it is to edit out dialog or alter the arc of a character when you are sure as the sun coming up that it makes the story. When in fact, it’s disposable. I recommend coverage for anyone with a script once they believe it is done. One space. One space. One space. IYKYN.

Hotel, flights and car are all booked. We are readying to go to the Knoxville International Christian Film Festival and Rise-Up Tennessee this weekend. Might even hit Dollywood whilst there! Looking forward to meeting writers.

Very excited to see the confirmation of my burgeoning skillset as a screenwriter. With two more placements in festivals, it is enough for me to want to push ahead. I prayed for confirmation after entering four competitions. I had recognition from three. Thrilled with the process, frustrated by the process, love the work. Now if I could just make enough money to pay for the trips, software, hardware and subscriptions!

So that is the nutshell. It is going to be a horrendous week of prep and final edits, polishing the treatment and practicing the pitch. OH MY GOSH! THE PITCH. I gotta go now.
