What To Expect at Calvary Chapel of Venice

Some churches have stayed true to the reason Jesus established the church: to continue His work here on the earth.  But others have become more of a social club, more interested in what man has to say about God rather than what God has to say to man.

1. At Calvary Chapel Venice, you will hear what God has to say to us, His created beings.  We read and teach verse by  verse through God’s book, the Bible.  The Bible is our only textbook and we study every part of it.
2. You will learn how to have the barrier of sin removed that stands between you and God and how to truly know Him and have a real relationship with Him through His son Jesus.
3. You will experience God’s personal love toward you first hand from people who don’t just claim the title of Christian, but have Jesus living in and through them.
4. You will have the opportunity to have someone who loves  you to pray for you no matter your need.
5. You will be in a place where the social pressures of acceptance such as your race, your income, or your appearance are not important to us.  Jesus accepts you as you are and so do we.
6. you will hear modern songs of praise which bring glory to Jesus in our time of worship.  This is what worship means: expressing to Him what He is worth!
   Some may stand and clap or raise their hands in surrender to Him.  These are individual expressions to God and you will not feel out of place if you choose not to worship that way
